Breath of Life Spring Tour 2026 - Portland

Portland, Something Is Stirring

March 07, 20268 min read

Why the Pacific Northwest is the perfect place to come home to yourself — and why May 3rd might change everything.

The Pacific Northwest Is Calling You Inward

There are places in the world that feel like they were designed for turning inward. Places where the air is a little softer, the trees are a little taller, and the noise of everyday life fades into something quieter, something truer. Portland, Oregon is one of those places.

On May 3, 2026, the Breath of Life Tour is landing in Portland — and we cannot think of a better city to hold what this experience is about to become.

Breath of Life is not a concert. It is not a wellness workshop. It is not a lecture or a seminar. It is a full-sensory, full-body, full-spirit ceremonial experience designed to reconnect you to the parts of yourself that modern life has trained you to forget. And Portland — with its deep roots in creativity, community, and conscious living — is the perfect container for this kind of transformation.

Breath of Life

What Is Breath of Life?

At its core, Breath of Life is a modern-day ceremonial concert. It blends ancient healing practices with modern music production, scientific research, and deeply intentional community design. Every element of the evening has been crafted to guide you through a journey — not away from yourself, but directly into your center.

The experience unfolds across five immersive stages:

Cacao Opening — The evening begins with a grounding ceremony. Ceremonial cacao is offered to anchor participants into gratitude, presence, and heart-centered connection. This is where the outside world softens and the inner journey begins.

Ecstatic Movement — Guided movement awakens the body’s intelligence. It is not about choreography or performance. It is about shaking loose what has been stuck — tension, grief, anxiety, whatever the body has been holding. The music builds, and you move with it. No right way. No wrong way. Just your way.

Sonic Breathwork — This is the heart of the experience. A fusion of ancient rhythmic breathing techniques and modern sound design guides you into expanded states of awareness. Some people describe it as the deepest meditation they have ever experienced. Others say it feels like a full emotional release. Whatever it is for you, it will be exactly what you need.

Sound Healing — Crystal bowls, gongs, and live vocals wash over you as the nervous system enters deep regulation. This is the integration phase — where the body absorbs what just moved through it. It is profoundly restful and deeply restorative.

Live Musical Performance — The evening culminates in celebration. Live music fills the room, and what was inward becomes outward. This is where integration meets expression. Where stillness meets joy. Where you remember that healing does not have to be heavy — it can feel like dancing.

Why Portland?

Portland is not just a stop on the tour. It is a spiritual anchor for it.

This is a city built on independence, creativity, and a willingness to live differently. Portland has always been a home for seekers — artists, healers, builders, questioners, and people who refuse to accept that the default way of living is the only way. That energy is exactly what Breath of Life was designed to meet.

The Pacific Northwest itself holds a certain energy. The towering forests, the rivers, the coastline just an hour west — there is a reason people come here to reset. Nature has been doing nervous system regulation since long before anyone put a name on it. And that same energy will be in the room with us on May 3rd.

We are also thrilled to be partnering with MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) as a founding partner for the Breath of Life Tour. This partnership reflects the deep commitment both Luminate and MAPS share toward expanding our understanding of healing, consciousness, and human potential through science and lived experience. The formal announcement is coming April 8th — MAPS’s 40th anniversary — and we could not be more honored to carry this work forward together.

The Science Behind the Experience

This is not just about feeling good in the moment. The practices woven into Breath of Life are backed by a growing body of neuroscience and clinical research.

Breathwork has been shown to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce cortisol levels, and shift the body out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-repair. Studies have demonstrated measurable decreases in inflammation markers, improvements in emotional regulation, and long-term reductions in anxiety and depression symptoms — sometimes after a single session.

When the heart softens, the body follows. When the mind relaxes, the cells repair. When the spirit opens, the biology responds.

Sound healing, cacao ceremony, and somatic movement all contribute to this same biological shift. Together, they create what researchers call a "full-system reset" — a state where inflammation drops, stress hormones normalize, and neuroprotective markers rise.

At Luminate, we believe the future of longevity and human performance is not one-dimensional. It is not just supplements or cold plunges or labs. It is an ecosystem of practices that regulate the nervous system, expand consciousness, and reconnect us to ourselves. And that ecosystem is exactly what you will step into on May 3rd.

Who Is This For?

Breath of Life was designed for anyone who feels the pull toward something deeper. You do not need to be an experienced meditator. You do not need to have done breathwork before. You do not need to identify as “spiritual.” You just need to be willing to show up for yourself.

This experience is for:

  • Athletes and performers who want to access peak states without burnout

  • Creatives who feel stuck or disconnected from their flow

  • Leaders and entrepreneurs carrying invisible weight

  • Healers, therapists, and caregivers who pour into others but rarely receive

  • Anyone craving real human connection in a world that feels increasingly digital

  • First-timers who are simply curious about what healing in community can feel like

No prior experience required. Just an open mind and a willingness to breathe.

Meet the Facilitators

Breath of Life is held by some of the most intentional, experienced, and heart-centered practitioners in the wellness space.

Jordan Poyer

Jordan Poyer is a breathwork guide, integration mentor, and co-founder of Luminate. A former professional athlete who discovered the power of breath, movement, and ceremony in his own healing journey, Jordan now dedicates his life to holding space for others to reconnect with themselves.

Every person in that room — on stage and off — is there to hold you. This is not a performance. It is a shared experience of presence, vulnerability, and collective healing.

The Facilitators

The Space Holder Promise

Safety is not an afterthought at Breath of Life. It is built into the architecture of the experience.

For the Portland event, we are recruiting and vetting 8 to 10 dedicated space holders through a formal application, interview, and onboarding process. These are trauma-informed practitioners who will be in the room specifically to support participants who move through big emotions, physical releases, or moments of vulnerability during the journey.

You will never be alone in this experience. That is not a marketing line. It is a commitment.

The full facilitation team includes Christopher August, Jennifer Denali, Kat Carter, Kelly Torres, Logan Recor, and Irvin Sanchez — along with local space holders, sound engineers, and support teams carefully curated for the Portland stop.

What People Are Saying

I came in skeptical. I left in tears — the good kind. Something shifted in my body that I have been trying to reach for years. I did not expect a single evening to do what years of therapy could not unlock.

The combination of music, breath, and community created something I have never experienced. It was not just healing. It was homecoming.

These are not outliers. This is what happens when the right practices meet the right container meet the right community. Breath of Life is designed to create the conditions for exactly this kind of transformation.

Portland, This Is Your Invitation

On May 3, 2026, something extraordinary is going to happen in your city.

A room full of people — strangers becoming community — will breathe together, move together, heal together, and celebrate together. The facilitators are ready. The space holders are trained. The music is composed. The cacao is sourced.

All that is missing is you.

If something in this post stirred something in you — if you felt a pull, a curiosity, a quiet yes — trust it. That is not random. That is your nervous system recognizing what it needs.

Every inhale is a return. Every exhale is a release. This is how we rise. — Jordan Poyer
